Details & Semester Outlines for DICT

The basic objective of this diploma is to train the students with the basic understanding of Computers, Communications technologies, programming, web designing, web development and software project management. All mentioned areas are an essential part of “Information Technology”. After completing this diploma students will be able to work independently and professionally in the I.T domain.

The courses are design not only to give student the working ability in the designated area but students can also acquire certifications in those areas. For example, after completing the course of “Database Management System” students can acquire “OCA” (Oracle Certified Associate) and MySQL certifications, after completing “Computer Programming”, they can acquire “Oracle Certifies Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer”, after completing “Computer Hardware & Troubleshooting”, they can acquire “A+” certification, after completing “Data Communication &  Networks” students can acquire CompTIA Network+ Certification sand after studying “Android Application Development” they can start working on developing applications for Android based platform, while course like Communication Skills will give students an extra edge on how to communicate in a professional working environment.

Course-Certification Provision

Any course in the course plan (except Project) can be done separately as a “Certificate Course”. Only the eligibility criteria needs to be fulfilled. There will be no separate transcript issued in such case, but only certificate will be issued bearing the grade as per the grading policy
