Admission Requirements For MBA Evening

Requirements

- For direct admission to the fifth year MBA, the candidate must have minimum 50% marks, (including first year, no supplementary)
- CGPA 2.50 from a HEC recognized university in the relevant field of study
- equivalent from HEC recognized institution.
- An entrance test and group discussion / interview will be given to all applicants at SZABIST

- For admission in the other MBA program, the candidate must possess a 4 year
-non business bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 2.5
or
- 16 years of education with minimum 55% marks
- equivalent from HEC recognized institution.

Admission Fee for Bachelors / Masters Rs. 20,000 (Pakistan nationals) / $500 (Foreign nationals) Admission Fee is payable once at the beginning of study and is non-refundable.
Security Deposit (refundable) for Bachelors / Masters Security Deposit payable after acceptance by SZABIST (refundable): Rs. 5,000 (Pakistan nationals) / $330 (Foreign nationals)
Students Activity Charges Rs. 1000 per semester (Pakistani nationals) / $30 (Foreign nationals)

Tuition Fee for BBA

Rs. 108,900 per semester for Pakistan nationals; $900 per semester for Foreign nationals. The tuition fee is based on a full course load (six courses) per semester. SZABIST will provide a scholarship of Rs. 40,950/ $339 per semester to each admitted BBA student register for full load six Courses per semester; net per semester will be Rs. 67,950/ $561.

Rs. 87,000 per semester for Pakistan nationals; $720 per semester for Foreign nationals. The tuition fee is based on a full course load (four courses) per semester. SZABIST will provide a scholarship of Rs. 26,040/ $216 per semester to each student register for full load four Courses per semester; net per semester will be Rs. 60,960/ $504. Tuition Fee for MBA 3-3.5 Years (90 Credit Hours) (Day/Eve)

Rs. 108,750 per semester for Pakistan nationals; $ 900 per semester for foreign nationals. The tuition fee is based on a full course load (five courses) per semester. SZABIST will provide a scholarship of Rs. 32,550/ $270 per semester to each student register for full load five Courses per semester; net per semester will be Rs. 76,200/ $630. TRANSFER POLICY

Transfer into SZABIST can only be accepted for candidates who have studied or are currently studying at HEC recognized universities. Transferring credits must have a minimum letter grade of B or above (or 80% marks). The request for transfers must be made at the time of admission; the maximum time limit to transfer courses is two years. Candidates will be required to clear all SZABIST admission requirements.

Bachelor Course Transfer:

A maximum of up to 72 credits may be considered for transfer into BBA / BS programs.

MBA Course Transfer:
A maximum of up to 6 credits may be considered for transfer into the fifth year MBA (36 credit-hours) program. Research project course is not transferable.A maximum of up to 36 credits may be considered for transfer into the MBA (72 credit-hours) program. Research project course is not transferable.Research project / thesis course is not transferable.

SZABIST Inter-Campus Transfer:
For transfer candidate from other SZABIST campuses, the candidate must fulfill the admission requirements of the local campus he / she wish to transfer into. All courses / grades are transferable. A transfer fee will be applicable for students transferring from any other SZABIST campus.

Certificate Course Transfer:
For transfer candidates from the SZABIST Certificate Programs all courses having a letter grade C- or above for the BBA / BS / MBA are transferable within one year.

Degree Requirement for MBA


For students with a 4 year BBA degree, the MBA Program is a 2 years program. 10 courses and a thesis (36 credits) are needed to graduate.
For students with a 4 year professional degree (MA, MCom, BS, BE, MBBS etc), the MBA Program is a 2 years program. 21 courses and a research project (66 credits) are needed to graduate.
For students with a 3 year BBA degree, the MBA Program is a 3 years program. 22 courses and a thesis (72 credits) are needed to graduate.
For student with a 3 year non-BBA degree, the MBA program is a 3 year program. 30 courses and a thesis (96 credits) are needed to graduate.
For students with a 2 year bachelor degree, the MBA Program is a 4 years program. 34 courses and thesis (108 credits) are needed to graduate.

Scholarships offered at SZABIST Larkana


As part of our social responsibility, SZABIST has developed a vigorous financial assistance program. Through this program, financial assistance is diverged into Fee concession, and scholarship

Scholarships are offered through SZABIST resources and those in collaboration with external donor agencies. Below is the list of scholarships presently available at SZABIST Larkana Campus.

    • All scholarships cover full or partial tuition fee, however, in some cases scholarships also cover books, boarding, transportation, monthly stipend and admission fee

      A fair and transparent process is adopted to select the students for these scholarships. The process involves short listing of candidates on the basis of objective criteria, followed by a panel interview to assess the candidates' financial eligibility. In case of scholarships funded by external donor agencies, the selection process also includes physical verification of student's information prior to award of the scholarship.

      • 1. Obtained a minimum semester GPA of 3.50
      • 2. Taken full load of courses during regular semesters i.e. fall and spring, both for calculation of Semester GPA and availing the scholarship.
      • 3. Students with extra and repeat courses are not eligible for the Scholarship.
      • 4. Students enrolled in subsidized programs are not eligible for the Scholarship.
      • 5. If there is more than one student with same results in a semester, then the scholarship amount will be distributed equally among the eligible candidates.
      • 6. Upon maintaining the same status, the scholarship may be extended for the next semester, provided the criteria are met for that semester.
      • 7. In case of other claimant (if any) with higher Semester GPA, respective scholarship will be withdrawn and the amount will be adjusted.
      • 8. The above scholarship guidelines are subject to change at any time and for any semester as approved by Academic Heads, and will be applicable to all new and continuing students.
      • 9. The scholarship program can be withdrawn at any time as approved by the Academic Council.
